The RAND Corporation is an American think tank which aims to help improve policy and decision making through research and analysis.
They run a Technology and Security Policy Fellowship for US or UK citizens which focuses on policy research relating to the national and international governance of broadly capable artificial intelligence. This focuses on addressing the national security and public safety risks of AI and, more narrowly, on AI for synthetic biology. They also have teams conducting research across a range of biosecurity-related areas.
